Huiru Li, PhD in Environmental Science, Associate Research Professor of SCNU Environmental Research Institute (SERI). She obtained her B.S. degree from Xinyang Normal University, M.S. degree from Sun-Yet Sen University, and PhD degree from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry (GIG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She worked as a research scientist in the State Key Laboratory of Organic Geochemistry, GIG from Jan. 2008. In Oct. 2012, she was prompted as an associate research professor. In Jun. 2013, she visited Virginia Institute of Marine Science, The College of William & Mary, United States as a visiting scholar, and conducted one-year international research cooperation. In Jul. 2019, she joined in SERI as an outstanding young scholar.
Her major research interests are associated with the advanced co-analysis methods, environmental behavior, fate, source and risk of persistent and emerging organic pollutants, e.g. halogenated dioxins, halogenated flame retardants, halogenated PAHs, etc. She has received 8 grants/foundations as PI, including 2 National Natural Science Foundations of China, 2 Natural Science Foundations of Guangdong Province, China, 1 sub-project of Special-funded Program on National Key Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development, 1 Major Science and Technology Program of Guangzhou, China, 1 State Scholarship Fund of China, and 1 Scientific Research Foundation of Outstanding Young Scholar Program of SCNU. She also participated 6 programs as major participant, including 3 National Natural Science Foundations of China, 1 sub-project of 973 Program, 1 subproject of Major Project of National Water Pollution and Treatment, China, and 1 Subproject of Strategic Leading Special-funded Technology Project of CAS (Type B). She published about 20 SCI research papers on Environmental Pollution, Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Chemosphere, Science of the Total Environment, etc. and one was published as ES&T A-page paper.
